Volunteer RPG Facilitator I Trainee
Level 1 RPG Facilitator trainee, Non-therapeutic/Education

Location(s): Varies: offices, schools, conventions, community centers, mobile facilities, and others.
Reports to: Senior Facilitator.
General Purpose
Help organize, manage, and facilitate RPG Therapeutics events using drum circles, role-playing games, and other activities at various locations, conventions, and other events.
Key Tasks, Responsibilities, & Requirements
- Encourage, plan, schedule, and facilitate events and activities.
- Coordinate participant placement in rooms or at tables.
- Set up and tear-down of activity components (drums, dice, pencils, miniatures, tables, chairs, rulebooks, computer-systems, etc.)
- Report back to Senior Facilitator with regular planning progress reports.
- Assist Game Masters and other Facilitators as needed, to optimize participants experience.
- Coordinate with Player Archetypes, RPG Advocates, and others.
- Attend either in-person or via remote access, at least one training session / administrative meeting per week (3-4 hours per session)

- Availability for facilitating at least 1 weekly group session per week (game sessions typically 3-5 hours), and up to 10 sessions per week.
Education and Training
Required:
- Minimum 1+ years experience organizing and running recreational events.
- Minimum 1+ years personal experience with at least one related RPG format(s). *
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to help others move tables, chairs, and books (at least 30 pounds)
- Passionate supportive energy
Optional but preferred:
- Recreation /Event management training/certification.
- 5+ years experience with at least one RPG format *
- 1+ years experience with all 4 RPG formats. *
* Formats include: tabletop (RPG), live-action (LARP), computer-based (CRPG), and solo adventure books and modules (SABM).

- Conventions
- Libraries
- Community centers
- Educational institutions
- Care facilities
- Summer/Day camps
- Mobile Facility, the Wheelchair Friendly RPG Trailer at various locations
Hours: Varies, minimum 1 training session per week (3-4 hours per session), and minimum 1 event session per month (hours range from 3 to 12+ hours per event).
Compensation: This is an entry level volunteer position. No financial compensation.
