RPG Research at Spocon 2013

I will be handing out the Gaming Industry and Community Gender Bias Questionnaires at the 2013 Spocon Science Fiction and Fantasy (and gaming) convention in Spokane, Washington, USA this August 9th, 10th, and 11th.

The results from this stage of the research will be submitted for publication by the journal on interactive storytelling, Wyrd Con 2013, published this coming December (as long as I complete the analysis and paper in time for he August 15th deadline, and it passes peer review of course).

Alexi is also making arrangements for volunteers with the questionnaires for an upcoming convention on the East coast this coming October.

Over 70 questionnaires filled out today at Spocon 2013. Only 1 person asked said no, all others approached completed the RPG Research questionnaire on gender bias in the gaming industry and community. Hopefully at least as many, or doubly so, tomorrow.

Phew! Finally finished the raw data entry of all 164 questionnaires on gender bias in the gaming community and industry. Now begins the analysis and writing. Hoping can beat/meet the August 15th deadline. Wish me luck!
