Here are some rough notes on the topics covered:
June 25th, 2015 update.
- Rpgresearch.com
- Current status: undergrad (Degree), Registered RT with WA state, and oversight.
- After finishing two internships (TR 16 week, and Psych 10 week), sit for CTRS.
- Also planning to sit for GRE soon, hope to go on to Masters Interdisciplinary Psych research, & TR.
- Mental health first aide.
- Not yet doing billable or formal therapy/research implementation of RPG, just recreation activity (not therapy) of RPG, but inherent benefits for populations participating in RPG, and observing many benefits (as I have since the 80s).
- populations I have been working with in recent years:
- ASD toddlers, youth, & adults, CP, at-risk youth, TBI, SCI, Deaf & Hard of hearing, etc.
- Some example programs:

- As I complete my degree, CTRS, etc. plan for more formal and controlled implementations.
- Tolkien Moot XI
- Gender Bias posting responses.
- PTSD courses at EWU to develop program plan.
- WorldCon / Sasquan - hugo awards, over 3,000 tickets, Science Saturday - poster 4', and stand there and explain a few hours, meanwhile D&D DM101, RPG Panel, and run table, with Wizards D&D employee,
- RPG Fund raiser: gofundme.com/xnjd64
- Saint Luke's Volunteer, TBI & SCI TR departments - facilities, RPG Trailer, wheelchair accessible.
- Cheaper than buying pre-built, and better suited for ADA clients.
- Trailer helps reach outside of Spokane area, but even in Spokane space is issues for facilities, so helpful locally, but more importantly across the country/continent.
- Two Bards Podcast #101
- RPG Research Trailer http://www.gofundme.com/rpgtrailer
- ADA compliant ramp, bathroom, etc.
- Covers 10% down payment, and expense to go down and pick up in Mesa, AZ.
- Cover monthly costs, and my SUV will pull fine, but down payment and pickup cost more than I can do any time soon. Monthly cost around what I currently pay for an office in Spokane, forget having offices in both Spokane and Seattle, but trailer makes possible anywhere.
- Cheaper to buy custom build than pre-built (has unneeded, and not ADA).
- Provide tabletop RPG, computer-based RPG, and live-action LARP.
- Living Games Conference - Austin, Texas - RPG trailer, move up date from a few years, to trying to get before go in May 2016. Thanks Prof. Sarah Lynne Bowman for encouraging me to go.
- I know whacky idea, but in CS, same thing, but later "of course".
- Some really like, others think unnecessary expense.
- Please consider donating or at least spread the word.
- LARP exposure there. Scholarly discourse, and expose to 6-12 larp styles and genres. This is why move up timeline and request for donation. Expensive trip due to hotels, etc. But trailer would ameliorate greatly.
- Nagios - D&D for substance abuse and at-risk youth. RPG Trailer.
- PAVE group - facilities holding up - RPG trailer.
- HBO Vice documentary on ASD and LARp, wants me out in NY/NJ. Already did over 1 hour reference interview. Trailer would make possible.
- April, WSTRA Conf Seattle Children's Hospital Presentation.
- Rc Therapy D&D in Nagios now. Lots of phone calls.
- And group in Canada interested.
Don't like Facebook, giving issues, don't recommend for updates.
